Inspiration

I was in incognito mode on google chrome and I thought to myself, what is the most useless thing I can make for people?

What it does

It tracks your history and stores it in the console so you and everyone can see your secrets.

How I built it

I used React.js to create the chrome extension.

Challenges I ran into

I slowly realized how hard it was to listen and store to user's data on a browser mode that is made for it to NOT listen and store user's data.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of learning a whole new framework (React.js) and making a semi-working product in such a short amount of time. I am also extremely proud of finding a loophole in an almost black box system (incognito).

What I learned

I learned a new framework from scratch and learned how to create a google chrome extension for the first time.

What's next for Uncognito

What's next? HTTP by default. No encryption over the air. Imagine doing important banking information in a nearby local Starbuck with ZERO protection!
