Inspiration
As a child, I loved solving maze puzzles on paper. Now, with AR technology, I want to bring that same joy to life turning problem-solving into an immersive, interactive adventure.
What it does
This AR maze game transforms traditional maze-solving into an interactive 3D experience. Players navigate through augmented reality mazes using their device, encountering obstacles, power-ups, and challenges along the way. It enhances problem-solving skills while making learning fun.
How we built it
I built this AR maze game using Unity and ARFoundation, utilizing AR tracking to place the maze in the real world.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was accurately anchoring the AR maze in real-world space to ensure stability and proper interaction. Tweaking AR tracking and scene placement took multiple iterations. Another challenge was optimizing performance for mobile devices, balancing graphical quality with smooth gameplay.

What we learned
What's next for Uncheat: An augmented reality(AR) maze game
In the future, Uncheat has the potential to evolve into a full-fledged Mixed Reality (MR) experience. By integrating advanced spatial mapping and hand-tracking technology, players could interact with the maze using natural gestures, making the experience even more immersive. With MR headsets like the Meta Quest or Apple Vision Pro, the game could allow players to physically walk through life-sized mazes in their real environment.
