Inspiration
Inspired by retro games, specifically Legend of Zelda, and the Game Boy device.
What it does
The player is placed in a room with enemies who they must attack or avoid and see how long they can survive.
How we built it
We used the raylib library for C++, which lets us implement graphics without a game engine.
Challenges we ran into
It took a while for us to fully implement the library into all of our devices, as we had to download it externally. We also ran into a lot of issues getting Github to work. Getting our repository to link between all of our devices took a while.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to get everyone to contribute to the project. Everyone had some sort of task that was able to be executed.
What we learned
We learned a lot about raylib and a bit about data structures.
What's next for UNC Boy
We want to finish this game. Implementing a player attack, enemy attacks, new animations, a score function, and infinite waves of enemies are next on our to-do list.
