The UMT Lost & Found Portal is a modern, full-stack web application designed to help students, faculty, and staff at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) efficiently report, search, and reclaim lost or found items across campus. Built with security and usability in mind, the platform ensures only verified UMT users can access its features via email login restricted to @umt.edu.pk domains.

Users can post detailed lost/found item reports with images, search through categorized listings, submit or respond to claim requests, and communicate securely through real-time chat. Admins have a dedicated dashboard to manage submissions, approve claims, and maintain platform integrity.

Enhanced with responsive design, live notifications, and an AI-based image similarity feature, the portal ensures a transparent, trustworthy, and community-driven approach to lost-and-found item recovery at UMT.
