Inspiration
We wanted to create a AI chatbot that gives people the best food recommendations for the day based on their needs, without having to do all the boring work themselves.
What it does
It lets you pick a dining hall you would like to eat at, and based on your inputted characteristics and nutrition goals, and dietary restrictions, it gives you food options that would best suit your needs.
How we built it
We built it by creating frontend to host our application, and scraped daily meal data from each dining commons. Stored that data in a MongoDB database. We then used Open AI's API to generate a chatbot you can talk to that gives you the information you need.
