Umbra Verify is now live on Midnight Preview
A major milestone for Umbra Verify: the EligibilityVault Compact contract has been successfully deployed to the Midnight Preview network and verified against live on-chain state.
What changed
- Deployed the real Compact contract to Midnight Preview.
- Connected the backend to the deployed contract instead of the previous in-memory simulation for real read operations.
- Verified
verifyEligibilityagainst live on-chain state. - Added deterministic derivation and deployment verification checks.
- Cleaned up frontend and backend type-checking issues.
next buildnow completes successfully.- Kept the contract source, compiled artifacts, and dependencies unchanged after deployment.
On-chain deployment
Contract: 3100fc4f0818f306ec66103ce37bb60df0ea2502c9894d4c841844aba45b76b9
Transaction: 007cc81b7f8308452689687c35aae83ad6544ebf16ebd543112d7a6ba23c44ff88
What we verified
The deployed contract is responding through the Midnight Preview indexer, and the backend successfully reads its ledger state using the compiler-generated contract reader.
The write flows (submitEligibilityProof and revokeProof) still require the final wallet-signing integration, so I'm not claiming those as completed yet.
This is an important step from a simulated development environment toward a real privacy-preserving application running on Midnight.
