Our motivation was to create a tool that would hold students like me accountable when we get distracted, using reminders and notifications to encourage productivity. Because we felt that the cold and robotic calendar apps and productivity tools are made for people who already have the skills to manage their themselves. So we looked to celebrities and scifi movies with their managers and decided to make something that will manage your tasks and create reminders on its own and use its own judgement to hold you accountable and notify you. We utilised the Gemini API, ElevenLabs' voice production, our own prompts and a reminder management system to make our project. We started with an ambitious vision packed with features, but quickly realized it wasn't realistic for the 36 hours we had. There were too many unknowns, and the scope was simply too big for our team. Once we recognized this, we felt hopeless for a bit, but then all of us individually came up with solutions for our modules; we scaled back to something we could actually accomplish and still be proud to present. In the end, we delivered on our original motivation—a tool that helps students stay productive—just at a scope that was achievable for our group and the time we had.
