Inspiration

The idea for Intervita came from our own frustrations with job hunting. It's a scattered and expensive process - we were using one site for resume templates, another for costly reviews, and then spending hours searching for interview questions online. We wanted to create the one tool we wish we had: a single, smart, and affordable platform that guides you through the entire process, from application to interview.

What it does

Intervita is an AI-powered platform that helps you practice for job interviews. Here's how it works:

You upload your resume and the description of the job you're applying for.

You start a live video call with "Evita," our friendly AI interviewer.

Evita asks you relevant questions based on your unique background and the job's requirements.

After the interview, you get instant, detailed feedback on what you said and how you said it, including your clarity, confidence, and presentation.

It's a personal interview coach, available 24/7.

How we built it

We built Intervita in two main parts that work together seamlessly:

The Web Platform: This is the website where you sign up, manage your resume, start interviews, and review your feedback. We built this entire application much faster by using Kiro, an AI-powered coding tool that helped us write and structure our code. The site itself is a modern web app using Next.js and React.

The AI Agent (Evita): This is the "brain" of the operation. We used Python and LiveKit for the real-time video call technology. Evita is powered by OpenAI's GPT model i, which allows it to see, hear, and respond like a real interviewer. We also used Deepgram to make sure the voice conversation was fast and natural.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was making the AI's feedback feel human. It was difficult to teach Evita to be a supportive coach that offers constructive advice, rather than a robot that just points out flaws. We also worked hard to ensure our web platform and the AI agent communicated instantly and flawlessly during the live interview session.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are incredibly proud of creating a working AI interviewer that can truly see and hear a user. Seeing it provide feedback not just on words, but on a person's confidence and presentation was a huge "wow" moment for us. We're also proud of building a complete, polished web platform in such a short amount of time, which was made possible by using AI development tools.

What we learned

The biggest lesson was how powerful AI-assisted development is. Using a tool like Kiro didn't just make us faster; it allowed us to focus on what really mattered, building a great experience for the user. We also learned how capable modern AI is at creating interactive experiences that feel genuinely personal and helpful.
