Uline, a family-owned business and the leading distributor of shipping supplies in North America, sought assistance in understanding their data and enhancing their customer service. Participating in this competition provided me with the opportunity to demonstrate my skills in creating impactful visualizations, enabling me to unlock my potential, gain recognition from industry experts, and help Uline deliver faster and more efficient service to businesses across North America.

Using Power BI, SQL and Excel, I developed an ad hoc dashboard for Uline to aid in identifying a new warehouse location. The primary challenge involved cleaning and organizing the data. Additionally, I utilized third-party software to extract information on transportation options, weather conditions, and internet access, all of which were crucial in evaluating potential warehouse locations.

I am thrilled and excited that I successfully completed the project within the given timeframe, successfully pinpointing the next warehouse location in the US. Throughout this project, I gained valuable knowledge in filtering information in Excel and generating ad hoc reports from extensive datasets.

By thoroughly cleaning, shaping, and transforming the data, I was able to identify Nebraska as the optimal warehouse location. Its central position on the US map, coupled with its excellent internet access and transportation options, makes it an ideal choice.
