Reddit bot: u/UKBills
Inspiration
The bot was inspired by a post in r/RequestABot.
What it does
It posts live updates on the passage of bills through parliament to a dedicated subreddit, r/UKbills. The information comes from a parliamentary RSS feed and every post links to the bill's summary page on the parliament website.
What's the point?
1) It offers a convenient way for users to stay informed about new legislation (even bills the government might want to sneak past the public), in the familiar format of a subreddit.
2) If we have readers upvoting important posts for visibility, the subreddit can work as an aggregator for the most interesting/urgent updates which deserve the most attention.
