By personifying COVID as an entity that simply does not belong and that which can be defeated, we hope to quell our patients' fears! We demonstrate that all the measures we are taking as a society and as physicians will continue to keep them safe!
How we built it
We have an incredibly creative team that worked tirelessly to make this happen! (Which on a resident's schedule is no small feat!) Each member of the team contributed his or her unique talent to the project that resulted in something of which we are exceedingly proud!
Challenges we ran into
Time is always a challenge when you are a resident! There just never seems to be enough of it to go around!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Teamwork! This book is truly the product of a collaboration. The best part of our job is to work as a team to treat our patients. That mentality shifted to the creative to make this book!
What we learned
We surprised ourselves that we can write a children's book! We were not, however, shocked at how seamlessly the team worked together to make it happen.
What's next for UK Covid Book
We are hoping to get this in the hands of our patients not only in the hospital but also in the clinics. Knowledge is power, and the more we can educate our patients the better off they will be!
