We are providing secure open-source access control to the University of Hawaii ITS Department to ensure the safety of its information, equipment, and people.

Comment

Inspiration - we were inspired by the chance to compete with the best of the best in the HACC 2020.

What it does - our website allows registered users to enter visit requests into a database. A reception person can then check to ensure visitors entering the building have an appointment

How I built it - we used PHP and MySQL along with HTML and javascript to enable a webpage to act as a from end for a SQL database.

Challenges I ran into - the development time is very short.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of - it works!

What I learned - need more time to make a better system

What's next for uhsecurity - more programming with more development time!
