Inspiration
I was inspired to create the UDHS Insider Webpage to celebrate Upper Darby High School’s 115-year legacy and provide a platform for students and the community to explore its rich history, programs, and vibrant student life.
What I Learned
Through this project, I deepened my understanding of web development, including responsive design and deployment. I learned how to structure a website for accessibility and user engagement while working with modern tools like React and Netlify.
How I Built It
I designed the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with React to create a dynamic and interactive experience. The site is hosted on Netlify for seamless deployment. I incorporated multimedia elements, like images and text, to highlight UDHS’s offerings.
Challenges I Faced
One challenge was ensuring the website was visually appealing and functional across devices, which required mastering responsive design techniques. Additionally, organizing the extensive content about UDHS’s history and programs in a user-friendly way was a complex task.
