App to help prevent chronic disease by creating true value for the patients, medlink, safety net providers, and insurance companies.

What it does

Provides simple, educational incentives that promote healthy lifestyles

How we built it

using dart for the front end so that we could write it for android and ios at the same time. We compiled this into java so we could connect up our hadoop integration which takes advantage of the apache hadoop api.

Challenges we ran into

Installing programs to get going since we couldn't use AWS. We received a password that didn't work at first for the Tresata servers.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We started with simple education content library application and it transformed into a two-sided marketplace generating value for both patient and provider. Additionally, we learned more about Safety Net Organizations, their sources of revenue (ie DSH Payments) that allowed us to build an app that truly align with their business model and the interest of the patients (accessibility and outcomes).

What's next for Enable

Work with MedLink to put together a proposal to the Office of National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and CMS and its most recent launch of Blue Button 2.0 to fund a demonstration project between Medlink, select Medlink Members, Enable, and targeted Charlotte Patient Population (medicare/uninsured) to prove feasibility.
