Inspiration:
The uDawg Bot was inspired by our growing community's need for an engaging platform to interact, play, and be rewarded within the TRON ecosystem. We wanted to create a fun and interactive way for users to participate in the community while also integrating TRON blockchain technology seamlessly. The bot allows users to earn rewards, play games, and track their bot profiles and read TRON smart contracts. The reward system, particularly the RP and XP for interacting with the uDawg smart contract, aims to further incentivize participation.
What it does
uDawg Bot provides a dynamic platform for users to:
•Create and manage their bot profiles.
•Set their TRON wallets, Twitter, and TronDAO Forum usernames.
•Engage in fun, competitive games like dice rolls, Rock-Paper-Scissors, and Lucky 7, earning RP and XP.
•Automatically earn RP and XP for uDawg smart contract transactions.
•Access TRON blockchain data like total supply, holders.
•Track their progress and rankings on a group leaderboard.
How we built it
We built uDawg Bot using Node.js, integrating TronWeb for interaction with the TRON blockchain. The bot runs on Telegram via the Telegraf library, enabling users to execute commands, retrieve blockchain data, and receive rewards for on-chain transactions. We leveraged the Tronscan API for fetching contract events and ensuring real-time interaction with the uDawg smart contract.
Challenges we ran into
Ensuring that the bot rewards users accurately for on-chain interactions required careful API handling and monitoring of transactions. Balancing security, scalability, and ensuring real-time interaction were significant hurdles we had to overcome.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of creating a fully functional bot that bridges Telegram and the TRON blockchain, making it easy for users to participate in the TRON ecosystem. The automatic reward system for uDawg smart contract transactions was a major achievement, as it provides a unique incentive for users to stay engaged. The user profile management, game integration, and leaderboard features also add significant value to community participation.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned the importance of seamless integration between web3 technologies and user-friendly interfaces. We deepened our understanding of TronWeb and smart contract interaction, especially in the context of user engagement. We also realized how important it is to build solutions that cater to both technical and non-technical users in a decentralized ecosystem.
What's next for uDawg_bot?
Next, we plan to:
•Expand the range of games available to users, introducing more opportunities for engagement.
•Create users' bot wallets.
•Host game tournaments.
•Consistently refine and enhance existing features based on community insights and technological developments.
•Build and develop our offerings in tune with contemporary trends in the real world.
