Inspiration We were inspired by the idea of commuters struggling to understand their daily nutritional intake, since not everything at UB is disclosed in an accessible way for students. We wanted to cater to students who live on campus and only rely on dining meals to sustain them.

What it does Our webapp, UBite, allows the user to track their calories and select foods from UB dining locations to include in their caloric diet.

How we built it We used java for backend and react to frontend. Although we attempted to use python to connect the backend and frontend, we were unable to do so.

Challenges we ran into We were unable to connect the backend to the front end implementation and we did not have enough time to complete all of the frontend code.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud of the fact that we were able to work until the last minute, even though we did not get anything up and running.

What we learned We learned a lot about communication and how to effectively multitask, since we did not do so (even though we weren’t able to do it this time around).

What's next for UBite We want to complete the front end, and maybe try using Javascript as our backend for future references, and have more dining items to choose from.
