Inspiration

Chronic diseases are the major cause of death in Europe and the whole world in general Missed early detection of chronic diseases means higher costs for the healthcare system. Asymptomatic chronic diseases need continuous monitoring for detection.

Failure to make a fast and accurate diagnosis can have serious consequences for the patients.

What it does

Empower healthcare providers with an affordable yet powerful medical device that will ease the early detection of cardiovascular chronic diseases.

  • Decrease preventable diagnostic errors

  • Fast, accurate and accessible diagnosis of heart chronic diseases

  • Decrease hospitalizations

How we built it

Our solution is composed of 3 parts, a patch on the patient's chest to collect patients vital signs, intelligence deployed on cloud service to analyze them, and a monitoring app available to the doctors providing real-time health condition of the patient.

And here at this Hackathon we focused on the Ubi-Dashboard android application

Challenges we ran into

Opentrends: IoT-based healthcare systems Amazon: The AWS City of a Cloud Serverless Hackathon

Accomplishments that we're proud of

At least a very basic working android application for showing ECG signal of the patient

What we learned

We challenged ourselves with android application developing and

What's next for Ubi+Health

Analysing data that we collect with our patch on the chest of the patient on the Amazon cloud and use a machine learning algorithm to classify and understand different kinds of heart arrhythmias.
