Here is UBC Solar’s Race Strategy Team’s progress update on Hack the Track so far!
Some of our Strategy Team’s Progress:
- Frameworks selected + tested
- Telemetry DB created
- Real-time sim tool built. Like a “replayer”
- Cars now updating live in UI
- Decided to focus on the “Driver Insights” category!
Our Strategy Team’s Next Steps:
- Finish off Physics + ML model
- Physics → predict next state
- NN → learn residual
- Physics → predict next state
- Consider our submission pitch → trustworthy / interpretable physics + ML? Need to think of more ideas.
- Continue working on our frontend.
Some Ideas when we Pitch our Submission
- Physics-grounded; ML fills in the gaps.
- Real-time + production-aligned tooling that is also end to end. Meaning, as raw data comes in live we act on it.
- Similar technical workflows to TRD pipelines.
- Actionable + interpretable outputs. Taking conclusions and displaying them on our UI.
