Inspiration

Many people think succulents are cute and harmless. There's even a whole game you can play devoted to therapeutically taking care of them.

This succulent is different though.

What it does

U succ generates a mean plant-related insult at you when you click on the succulent.

How I built it

HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, shake.js for animation. Photoshop for asset illustration.

Challenges I ran into

Uh, i think it breaks if you click really fast. Something something javascript event timing. Whatever.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I think I conveyed the emotionality of the anger well, through color, and animation.

What I learned

Not all technology is Good™. I'm no hero.

What's next for U SUCC

Maybe a real, dynamic app that's social! Grow ur own succulent and send insults to your friends!! Gain social capital by putting others down!!! Quite a representation of the real world.
