Inspiration
Pittsburgh is notorious for its unpredictable weather. We're always unprepared for the sudden rain.
What it does
We developed an app that uses a cloud based server-client model for the cheap renting of umbrellas.
How we built it
Android Studio (Java), Microsoft T-SQL, Microsoft Azure, PowerShell, Google Maps API
Challenges we ran into
-Maintaining compatibility with Android Studio and the Azure T-SQL database. -Developing proper server side interaction with client requests from the app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-We implemented a fully functional SQL server with automated PowerShell jobs -We've established the foundation for a commercial app and gained insight on business strategy -We maintained and accomplished our goal to develop a multipurpose framework for a sharing economy.
What we learned
Azure, SQL, Android Studio, Fortnite
