Inspiration
The game was inspired from typing tests such as Typemonkey and the likes, and my love for roguelikes and survivor-likes. The Vista-like aesthetics I chose for the game is purely for the nostalgia of what I regard as the best OS of all time.
What it does
TypeVista is a frutiger-themed roguelike dressed as a typing test. Three strikes and you're out. With a pool of around 50 modifiers and 4000 words, and an optional zen mode (without any strikes), it will keep players busy for hours, if not days.
How we built it
The game was built on Phaser for the Devvit platform.
What's next for TypeVista
The game exists on Itch.io and Reddit. Some extensions are planned if the game is well-received.
