Project Story – TYPE INVADER

🎯 Inspiration

I’ve always wanted to master proper touch typing—but no existing app truly satisfied me.

Typing games that focused on speed were fun, but didn’t help develop correct finger positioning.
On the other hand, apps that focused on form and accuracy were mind-numbingly boring and hard to stick with.

I kept asking myself:
"Why isn't there a typing app that's both fun and technically effective?"
That question became the spark for TYPE INVADER.

What if the only way to save Earth from destruction was to type... perfectly?

📚 What I Learned

  • Bolt.new is powerful enough to build and publicly deploy a full-featured web app
  • Even real-time games like typing trainers are fully possible in this environment
  • The key to success is crafting clear, structured prompts

🛠️ How I Built It

  • I began by simply listing out what I wanted to make—bullet points only
  • This list included not just features, but the world I wanted players to enter
  • I noted the desired tech stack (Vite, React, Netlify, etc.)
  • From that, I asked an LLM to generate a complete requirements document
  • That requirements doc was handed to Bolt.new as the project blueprint

By turning high-level ideas into detailed design with LLM support, I was able to move fast and build precisely what I imagined.

🚧 Challenges

  • Fine-tuning the game feel for comfort and fun was tricky: sound
