Inspiration

We were inspired by the idea of vision boards and how they help people reflect on themselves and plan for the future. We wanted to create a game that encourages people to think about their goals and interests and then helps them make a vision board.

What it does

In this game, the player plays as a wolf and collects stars. When the player hits a duck they are asked a question about themselves. They can type an answer to the question to continue playing. At the end, ChatGPT creates a vision board based on the player's answers.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, and React to create the front end. We used phaser.js for the gameplay elements. For the back end, we used ChatGPT and FastAPI.

Challenges we ran into

At first, we struggled to code the physics of the game, but after some searching, we discovered a JavaScript library called phaser that made this much easier.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made some Gameplay assets like the sprites ourselves and we're very proud of our overall aesthetics.

What we learned

For one team member, this was their first experience with GitHub and two of us were using typescript for the first time which was very exciting. This project also gave us all more exposure to using React.

What's next for Two Wolves

Due to time constraints, there are many exciting features we haven't added yet but may add in the future. For example, we may create a way for users to share their vision boards with other users. We may also add more game assets such as new sprites for the player to interact with.
