Inspiration
With the theme of duality, we immediately thought of the "two wolves" meme, where everyone has two wolves inside of them: one that is good and one that is evil. However, we decided to change it up into a psychological/moral type metaphor. The main character, Megumi, must face his inner two wolves when it comes to the memory of his best friend, Kuro Yume.
What's next for Two Wolves
We originally had planned many mini games that we did not get to implement. The first one would require the player to fill a red square up with smaller shapes to symbolize trying to stop Kuro's bleeding. However, it's impossible and Kuro dies.
The second mini game would require the player to draw shapes to "fight" Musashi, Kuro's brother who wants to avenge him.
The third mini game symbolizes Mrs. Yume's depression after her son dies. The text starts like a normal paragraph before repeating and losing words that the player has to fill in. Essentially, it all becomes more chaotic.
The final mini game is the character, Megumi, running towards the end of a tunnel in a platform game, symbolizing him waking up from his dream.
