Inspiration

We wanted to use AI to make the community a better place. One of the biggest communities in the world is Twitter. Twitter has been known to be very toxic and we strive to make changes that can improve the community.

What it does

It censors and warns users of their hateful messages.

How we built it

We combined a public model of a sentiment analysis AI with a clone of Twitter to make a censorship AI.

Challenges we ran into

As AI requires heavy resources to run, we often found ourselves rate limited by 3rd party api's while testing and developing the program.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how we seamlessly integrated the AI into Twitter. :)

What we learned

We learned how to integrate AI with a user interface that is able to connect across devices.

What's next for Twitter AI Censorship

The major flaw of the current version of our AI Censorship is that it can only detect and censor text. Our next step would be to add image and video analysis to detect inappropriate and hateful messages from images and videos.
