Inspiration

About 6 months ago, I had reviewed a 100+ notes of ideas that I never reopened afterwards. There's that feeling of regret that creeps in after we realize the things we neglected, so I thought "Is there a way to have my notes pop up similar to the way snapchat reminds me of certain memories that cause me to reflect on meaningful experiences I had?

What it does

Twinkle integrate already existing digital notebooks (like Notion, EverNote, Keep Notes) making it easy for users to import their notes from their favorite notebook service provider

How we built it

Used Figma to create the demo site Integrated OpenAI to get responses when prompted in the notebook (to help ideate through your ideas) Used Vapi for conversational prompting with the user

Challenges we ran into

ran ito several issues try to get my site to run my site on a Node.js local server. also had some challenges fine-tuning the Vapi agents to keep the right conversation style and tone, with relevant response outputs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

was able to implement the concept (at least most of it) in only a few hours - definitely will participate in more hackathons😅

What we learned

local server deployment using Node.js and React. Learned how to implement API calls properly

What's next for Twinkle - notes that speak to you!

My goal is to have at least a fully built out demo version by the end of November as the idea was inspired by some of the challenges I still currently face with taking notes and never referencing them again. And with time have it built to a point where others may also be able to test it out so I can feedback on it, then see how I can potentially scale it up to help others.
