Twilbot

Want to see cute cats but are scrolling hours to get those cute kitty images. Cut the suffering by simply asking a twilio bot to do that for us; while being inspired to get up and get to work, too!

Inspiration

I was inspired by how w can essentially automate communication over social media and replace that time by doing things we really love -- looking at some really cute cats! link

What it does

It is a bot built using Twilio, distributed on a whatsapp sandbox. Its a conversational app which lets the user get inspired by asking for quotes, and also whilst they are inspired, working hard, to look at some fun cats.

How we built it

Built using Python, Flask and leverages the Twilio API for WhatsApp communication.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was finding an API which would give users random quotes. However, there was an error accessing that route, I was not able to retrieve quotes, and decided to import a list instead.
