Inspiration

Everyone focuses on how to prevent the disease. No one is thinking about the patients that stay in bed and look at the ceiling.
We had a project with _ rare disease _ patients. What we learnt from them is that they don't complain as much about their disease as they complain about the ** lack of communication and isolation **

Problems

COVID Patients feel disconnected from social engagements. They don’t a person who has the disease on which they can relate. They want to talk about how other are doing while staying in their bed.
They have to ask simple questions, like when they forget to take a pill.
Nurses arrives to each patient in a long time due to lots of patients.

Solution

A chat application where patients can find someone who can relate to. They can search in the same county/country, other country, or in their hospital.
The app also features a chatbot who pops questions so that nurses don't have to ask the same boring questions and focus more on the critical patients. This way, the patient becomes active from passive. He/She feels that has an impact.

Why to implement

The medical crew has an app where they generate _ unique codes _ which can be used by corona patients to login in the app.
It is _automated _ to push _custom notifications _ based on patient.
_Profit_ can be obtained by selling the chat data to pharma companies thus reducing the research time. A medical study should be approved by ethical commissions in each country, which is not efficient, more expensive and doesn't make patients to freely talk about symptoms.

Features

 - chat 1v1 or in groups
 - search patients in your region/country
 - search globally
  - chatbot to ask a fast question / not bother the nurse
  - scheduled questions so nurses don’t repeat the same question
  - reduces the research time

Challenges We ran into

Finding medical stuff so we can tailor the medical crew app for their needs.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We got a lot of positive feedback from mentors, which motivated us to consolidate the idea.

What's next for Minutes++

Getting financial support would provide a production release for a few hospital.
After that we can explore even more needs of the nurses and patients and upgrade the app.
