Inspiration
Christmas is a really subtle period of time. As a holiday, many students want to relax but also study. Sometimes it’s genuinely hard to find the balance point between those two things. I noticed a pattern (and I do it too): when you’re playing, you feel regretful; when you’re studying, you keep thinking about playing. That internal struggle doesn’t always become “work harder” — it often turns into doom-scrolling, because scrolling feels like neither work nor rest, but it steals both. Christmas Cadence started from this exact problem: I wanted a simple system that helps students rest without guilt, and study without constantly craving “escape.” The twelve-day system is inspired by the song "The Twelve Days Of Christmas".
What it does
Christmas Cadence is a small holiday assistant that turns your day into “verses” (short intentional sessions). You pick a mental state first (Focus / Soft / Sprint), then pick a task that matches it, and start a slot. If you complete enough "verses", you light a candle for that day and get a short reflection message. The idea is: you need to be in “deep focus” all day. You just need to keep the rhythm—some focused learning, some light comfort, some quick wins. Over time, the candles show your progress visually.
