Inspiration

Twitter is one of the most widely used social media platforms and is used to quickly share information with others.

Activists are always posting about current events on Twitter, whether this be promoting events or giving updates on a particular situation.

However, there is bound to be misinformation shared when it comes to tweets and we as users are not always aware of this.

What if there was a way to summarize the tweets regarding a certain event or topic so that we are confident that the information presented to us was accurate?

What it does

We created a tweet summarizer that can take any topic as an input, and will summarize the top tweets so that it is presented in a digestible format. It will also include some of the top tweets regarding that topic below the summary.

Our main purpose is to use it to learn more about current events/trending topics in a concise and accurate manner. We hope that this will help activists get their message across in a more concise manner and encourage people to stay informed about current events.
