Inspiration

My grandmother always forgets to switch off the TV and leaves the room which leads to wastage of electricity. Also, my little cousin likes to watch cartoons on TV but he will sit very near to the TV screen which in the future may cause eyesight problems for him.

What it does

It Saves Energy, Makes children watch television from a certain distance & protects them from powerful rays emitted.

How we built it

Using Embedded C Programming, Arduino, UltraSonic Sensor, Jumper Wires, Piezo, LED(TV), Bread Board, Resistor & USB Cable

Challenges we ran into

Integration of electronic controls & programming

Accomplishments that we're proud of

TVBuddy is able to recognize the user when he/she is too close to the TV and switches off the TV when the user is not present

What we learned

• How Electronics Communicate with each other
• How to use Embedded Programming to integrate all controls through Arduino

What's next for TVBuddy

TVBuddy will be integrated with AI for more automation.
