Inspiration

Finding the right local tutor can be a struggle. There are many issues that need to be combatted. Prices, teaching/learning style, and schedules to name a few. TutorTime aims to get volunteers to tutor students. You can volunteer for resumes, applications, or just out of the goodness of your heart.

What it does

TutorTime connects students with tutors for absolutely free. Students can look at the bios of their tutor, search for tutors with filters, and schedule meetings with them.

How we built it

Landon Harter, the solo developer, used NextJS, Tailwind, and Firebase. Called the NFT stack, it is one of his favorites to use. Firebase is a quick and easy way to get a quick backend setup, while NextJS provides easy and effective ways to create multi page applications.

Challenges we ran into

Time constraint was a huge issue. I had planned many more features that just never had time to be implemented. I am still proud of the MVP I was able to create during the timeframe however.

• Add notes with a meeting request

• Customize more parts of your profile
