Inspiration
We were inspired to fabricate the idea of Tutor.Tech from our personal experiences as students in a constantly evolving digital age. Where study habbits and recorces can be hard to adapt to or access. Esspecially at bizzar and unschedualed hours. With the addition of distractions from student life such as social media, along with scrolling habits. Thus we wanted to go beyond the feed, to make a product that is engauging, interactive, and productive for all students. No matter the time, place, or location
What it does
Is a website based web app that shares student and tutor profiles, connecting them based on key ideas. So that students and tutors can connect in a virtual chat or call to provide needed assistance
How we built it
Our product was made through multiple languages and assisted ai use. As well as the combination of many provided online tools such as Vulture, Flask, Tiger Data, Google gemini API and more. Which allowed us to piece together our product .
The Challenge
The biggest challenge that unfortunatly hindered the full production of such an ambitios project was that of sync between the website and the modules for functionality that we had setup through provided thrid party softwear applications.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
One of the most impressive acomplishments of our time at HackWesTX2026 was being able to record a video call, transcribe the session and save all data pertaining to the session
What we learned
Not to bite off more than we can chew, with respect to understanding how to create and track proper project workflow and syncronizations. Furthermore, we have also come to realize the challenges beyond coding that comes alongside attempting to integrate multiple tools into one homogeneous project. Additionally, we learned what it means to truly be part of a first time dev team.
