Tutopia

Inspiration

We find the topic close to our hearts. All of us on the group have faced the issues of poor education in Egypt. We are lucky enough that our parents had spent the time and money to send us to a private school, so we decided that we would give back to our community.

What it does

It is a platform that connects students to a curated network of tutors. It avoids any awkward interactions to figure out which teachers are tutors, and it avoids the requirement to have a network to know of good tutors.

How we built it

We built a prototype of the front end on Figma. We decided to focus on the design and the front end.

Challenges we ran into

Doing the Hackathon online made it a bit more difficult to keep pushing through the nights because we were not face to face.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The idea is feasible, and a lucrative idea.
