About
TutoBee is an online learning platform centered on catering to the needs of all types of learners with accessibility-oriented visual design and functionality. TutoBee follows a more modern student-oriented learning philosophy revolving around creating an online learning environment that caters to every learner's needs and promotes inclusivity through a personalized profiling system that directs Hive TutorBees (class moderators) and learners to their own safe space in a small, extensive, and focused learning group called Hives where they can start their self-paced learning journey. It also features various specialized curricula for students with different needs derived from a needs assessment questionnaire, as well as optional fun and educational elective courses that fit students' interests and hobbies.
Problems being solved
- Problems with the diversity and inclusivity of students
- - Challenges with large class sizes
- - Diversity of learning abilities and mechanisms of students

- - Absence of specialized teaching due to educators' gaps in training
- Problems with student support
- - Challenges with peer-to-peer relationships, specifically harassment, bullying, and rejection
- - Lack of accountability and support with people in learning environments
The Name
TutoBee roots the meaning of its name from three words. Tuto - the knowledgde that we learn, Bee - the busy class masters and developers that help make students' experience specialized and engaging, and tutubi, a Filipino word which, when translated to english, is dragonfly, which come in a myriad of different colors embodying the app's spirit that tutobee is for all types of learners.
