Inspiration: Its every students' dream to find relevant answers in minutes in one website or mobile application. So we decided to make a platform easy to use and most helpful to students in gaining knowledge through different professor across the world
What it does: Our application allows you to upload assignments and notes of any course that you have taken in the past and share it with the world. In this way, a person regardless of whether they can afford education or the big colleges can now gain access to all the resources from knowledgable professors. There is a sign in /sign up feature to authenticate a user.
How we built it- We decided to build the mobile and the web app using react native and react framework respectively. Our data is stored in the firebase database which also authenticates the sign in or sign up. We used Html, css, javascript. For the mobile app we used react native.
Challenges we ran into: Challenges we ran into were related to react native libraries failing to work. Also, search of data in the data base when the user looks for a certain resource.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Accomplishments we are proud of include: being able to develop a web application and mobile application within less than 36 hours. The constant hours of debugging errors helped us analyze code better and in more efficient manner.
What we learned: We learn that building a software requires a whole team of developers and each aspect of the process is crucial for impressing the client.
What's next for TurnitUp: We would like to complete the development process and making it a full running application for web and mobile.
