Inspiration
As a social media creator based in California, I grew frustrated with spending hours brainstorming short-form scripts—only to have most fall flat. I saw peers and small business marketers in my network facing the same pain: consistent, viral-ready content was hard to scale. I wanted to build a tool that cut through the chaos, turning one simple topic into multiple polished scripts optimized for the platforms we all use daily.
What it does
This web tool takes a single video topic (like "budget travel hacks" or "morning skincare routines") and instantly generates 10 unique short-form scripts. Each script is tailored for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts, with a clear hook (first 3 seconds), main body, and call to action. Every script also includes viral-focused tags, A/B test recommendations, and engagement optimization tips to boost performance.
How we built it
I started by mapping out core user needs—speed, simplicity, and platform relevance. Using React for the frontend, I built a single-page dashboard with a focus on minimalism and speed. I coded the script generation logic in Node.js to ensure 3-second load times, and designed the UI in Figma to align with modern, clean aesthetics favored by Western creators. All functionality was built to work seamlessly without logins or registrations for demo use.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest hurdle was balancing speed with uniqueness—ensuring 10 scripts per topic were distinct while adhering to platform-specific best practices. I also had to design the UI to handle rapid user clicks (preventing duplicate requests) and reset gracefully on browser refreshes, which required tight state management in React.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a tool that’s truly user-centric: no login barriers, instant results, and hyper-relevant scripts that match how real creators work. The demo version works seamlessly across browsers, and the script structure aligns perfectly with what drives engagement on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
What we learned
I deepened my understanding of user behavior for short-form content—specifically how hook timing and tone impact retention. I also learned to prioritize simplicity in development: avoiding overcomplicated integrations made the tool faster and more reliable for casual users.
What's next for This project
Next, I plan to add script editing features so creators can tweak generated content to match their voice. I also want to integrate performance tracking (linking scripts to actual post metrics) and expand support for niche content categories (fitness, small business marketing, etc.). Eventually, I’ll roll out a team plan for agencies managing multiple creators.
