Inspiration
This game is inspired by platform adventure games.
What it does
You can move around the 2D environment we've designed using and shoot bats with your left click in order to defeat the brain rot monsters on the way. The objective is to collect the prize at the end.
How we built it
This project was built using Piskel to make every pixel art and animation and Unity 2D to implement the game.
Challenges we ran into
It was though at the start to make correct collisions and working hitboxes but after trial and error we managed to make everything work perfectly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The game has some lore and it is pretty fun to play and considering that we have never used Piskel and Unity 2D before, all the animations and designs were done in the span of 24 hours and they ended up being very pretty, so in general, learning how to use these software and developing the game in one day has been a great achievement.
What we learned
We've learnt how to use Unity 2D to create games and together we learnt that frontend cannot live without backend and same for the other way round. Both ends are important to make a pretty, functional game.
What's next for TungTung Travels The World!
In the future it would be nice to expand the story, adding custom made music and sound effects, introduce new characters, new features, gadgets and levels.
