Inspiration

We like music and thought this would be a fun idea for a hack. Also may be useful for people who want to get in touch with the local music history.

What it does

Shows artists that have originated from your current area. You are able to view the top tracks of these artists as well as view artist photos and names.

How we built it

Built a mobile application for iOS using Swift as well as the listed frameworks.

Challenges we ran into

Lots. Specifically Spotify's iOS API....which is in beta.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Eventually got some features implemented using the Spotify API. Also, the aesthetics are pretty neat.

What we learned

Developed our Swift programming knowledge and learned about various number of frameworks/APIs.

What's next for TuneN

goin' to the big leagues!

But, also song streaming within app, more song suggestions, more music metadata, etc.
