Inspiration

Our inspiration stems from the desire to empower small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in our quaint Colombian town with the latest AI and cloud technologies.

What it does

TuEmpresa-GPT facilitates data democratization, allowing non-technical users to effortlessly interact with databases, explore data without coding skills, and expedite document analysis.

How we built it

We leveraged Google Cloud Run to host a containerized Python application. This application utilizes Gemini API calls for text-to-SQL conversion and document analysis. Additionally, we incorporated OpenAI for PandasAI functionality. The user interface was crafted using Streamlit, while the relational database was managed using MySQL hosted on Cloud SQL.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered compatibility issues between PandasAI and Gemini. Ultimately, we opted to utilize OpenAI to overcome this obstacle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're thrilled with the seamless functionality of TuEmpresa-GPT! The deployment process with Cloud Run provided a smooth CI/CD experience.

What we learned

We discovered that SMBs in small towns across South America can readily access state-of-the-art cloud and AI technologies without the need for technical expertise, thanks to GCP.
