Inspiration
People like my Nan, who don't have internet access, and people like us, who frequently use up their data allowance, still need information on the status of London Underground lines, to get home without inconvenience.
What it does
You can text 01720 302010 with the following commands:
- A London Underground line (case-insensitive) - Central, Circle, District, Hammersmith and City, Jubilee, Metropolitan Line, Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria, Waterloo and City, Overground, TfL Rail, DLR, Trams.
- Subscribe + - to subscribe to status updates for the line
- Unsubscribe + to unsubscribe from a line
How we built it
Using Flask to host a web server (That was intended to be hosted on AWS, but it was not possible due to issues with the internet), that links the Twilio and TfL API's
Challenges we ran into
We're first years so none of us are that good. Also we just learned Python recently.
