As university students, it can be hard to find the right group of people to not only study with but just connect with in general. With the advent of various social media platforms, there seems to be a lack in university specialized chatting services that work to filter and connect students in the same university together! With the nature of university, it can be hard to find and connect people with the same interest much less run into the same people on campus.

That's where TU Meets fixes this problem! Just like Omegle, TU Meets is designed to allow Temple University users connect with other users via video call. There, users can chat, draw, make notes or stickies, set timers, and even follow users! The key component is the exclusivity of the service. While still a WIP, the service will only allow officially registered TUJ students to use the platform as the service will prompt users to login with a TUJ or TU email and confirm through 2 factor.

As of right now, the project is currently still in development as the WebSockets/Hosting server, email authentication, and account creation elements are still being worked on. Currently, only 2 clients can be connected on a local system.

The project is built using Sveltekit along with Node.js and Typescript
