Inspiration

As a B.Ed. Honours student at Government Teachers’ Training College, I know how difficult it can be to find the right information when you need it. Notices appear in different groups, study materials get buried in chat histories, and students often have little connection with TTC communities outside their own college.

Even before admission, finding clear information about the B.Ed. Honours programme was difficult for me. After joining, I realised that this information gap was part of a bigger problem.

I started building TTC Network to give our community a shared place to learn, stay informed, and connect.

What it does

TTC Network brings students, teachers, and alumni from Bangladesh’s Government Teachers’ Training Colleges into one online community.

The platform brings together:

  • A community feed for updates, events, polls, and discussions.
  • Campus groups for batches, student communities, and shared interests.
  • A study section for sharing and finding notes, documents, videos, and useful links.
  • A notice board for academic notices, routines, and circulars.
  • College information pages to help people explore institutions.
  • Stories where students, teachers, and alumni can share their experiences.
  • Profiles that bring together academic information, roles, achievements, and certificates.
  • People discovery to help members connect within their campus and across other TTCs.

Recent additions include a Buy & Sell section for books and study materials, including free gifting, and deadline settings for notices.

The aim is simple: make useful information easier to find and help TTCians support one another beyond their own classrooms.

How I built it

I have been developing TTC Network primarily on my own, starting with the problems I experienced as a student and turning them into connected sections of a responsive web application.

I focused on making the platform comfortable to use on mobile, since students should be able to check a notice, find a resource, or share an update from their phones.

The application includes account sign-in, member profiles, campus-based discovery, content-sharing forms, and community features. Members can also choose whether a shared study resource is intended for their college or the wider TTC community.

The website is already live at ttcnetwork.xyz. Development is continuing, with further backend integration and campus information updates still in progress.

Challenges I ran into

One challenge has been bringing academic resources, campus communication, and networking together without making the platform confusing.

Another is building for a community that includes students, teachers, and alumni with different needs. Organising content by campus, programme, and purpose helps make that experience more relevant.

Working mostly alone also means balancing interface design, development, content organisation, and community outreach. I have had to prioritise the features that address the most immediate problems.

Accomplishments I’m proud of

I’m proud that TTC Network has moved from a personal idea into a live platform with community members from multiple campuses.

It already contains published resources, notices, updates, and stories that people can explore. Seeing the platform begin to connect TTCians gives me a reason to keep improving it.

I’m also proud of building something for a community I belong to. The problems behind the project come from everyday student experiences.

What I learned

This project has taught me to think beyond individual features and consider the complete experience: how someone finds information, shares something useful, or connects with another member.

I have also learned that building the website is only part of the work. Keeping information accurate, growing participation, and making the platform useful over time are just as important.

What’s next

My next priorities are to complete the remaining backend integration, improve reliability, update campus information, and expand the collection of useful academic resources.

I also want to grow the Campus Manager programme so students can help represent their institutions and keep their campus communities active.

The long-term goal is to make TTC Network a dependable part of everyday academic and professional life for TTCians across Bangladesh.
