Comprar ropa por internet obliga a imaginar cómo quedará una prenda. TryWise reúne la visualización y la decisión de compra en un mismo espacio.
Qué hace
Permite subir una fotografía y una referencia de ropa, generar una prueba con YouCam AI Clothes Virtual Try-On V4, alternar entre original y resultado y guardar hasta doce propuestas con nombre y precio. La selección muestra cuándo se supera el presupuesto indicado. No realiza compras ni garantiza talla o ajuste físico.
Cómo se ha construido
React, TypeScript y Vinext, con servidor en Cloudflare Workers y alojamiento mediante Sites. El servidor usa la API de archivos de YouCam, crea una tarea Cloth V4 y consulta su estado. La clave permanece en el servidor. Los favoritos se guardan en el navegador. Desarrollo realizado durante el concurso con asistencia de ChatGPT Work.
Validación y límites
Se probaron dos rutas contra el servicio publicado: imágenes mediante URL y subida de dos archivos. Ambas devolvieron una imagen de YouCam. Se comprobaron comparación, favoritos y aviso de presupuesto. El vídeo guiado muestra capturas reales y un resultado obtenido previamente; no es una grabación continua ni una llamada nueva en tiempo real. Faltan pruebas de usabilidad y validación en un iPhone físico. No se afirma que reduzca devoluciones o aumente ventas.

Inspiration
Online clothing shopping often means imagining how a garment would look. TryWise combines visual exploration with a budget-aware purchase shortlist.
What it does
Upload a person photograph and a clothing reference, generate a preview using YouCam AI Clothes Virtual Try-On V4, toggle original and result, and save up to twelve looks with names and prices. A spending indicator shows when the shortlist exceeds a user-entered budget. The app does not process purchases or verify physical fit or size.
How it was built
React, TypeScript and Vinext, with a Cloudflare Workers backend and Sites hosting. The server uses the YouCam File API, creates a Cloth V4 task and polls its status. The API key stays on the server. Favourites are stored in the browser. Built during the competition with ChatGPT Work assistance.
Validation and limitations
Two paths were tested against the published service: image URLs and multipart upload of two image files. Both returned a successful YouCam image. Original/result comparison, shortlist saving and the over-budget indicator were also checked. The edited video uses real UI captures and a result generated earlier; it is not a continuous recording or a new live request. Usability research and testing on a physical iPhone are still pending. Reduced returns and increased sales are not claimed.
Next steps
User testing, accessibility review and further localisation. The app is publicly accessible without a sign-in. Complete source, assets, MIT licence and local setup instructions are available in the source ZIP in the linked GitLab repository.
