Inspiration

Our project lead went through a very painful process learning a lot of tech skills but never really built anything that would be of importance for employers to take notice (he was turned down severally based on that reason).

Tryble is built around the need to build proficiency as a developer when you are just starting out, so you can get noticed by employers.

What it does

Enables a developer to create or join a tribe of choice, work with tribe mates on projects that solve real world problems using real world strategies.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Seeing how we are hacking from Nigeria with our own little budget. We sometimes encountered power issues which slowed down development. Also, since some of the team members were working remotely, we sometimes weren't always in sync with the project updates, but the project lead successfully ensured all milestones were met and delivered.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our project lead once taught himself to code, and ended up having an interview with Andela in Nigeria, which didn't work out though, he is also a talented business guy, scoring 330/360 in an OpenSAP Business Model Design Course. Our backend guy is currently a member of the Andela ALC 2.0 Android Track and is very talented having self taught himself to become proficient with different web development stacks. Our frontend guy

What we learned

Prior to this hackathon, we never knew how to create a demo video. This was all new and interesting for us. Also, we learned how to build a minimally usable product by seriously prioritizing and building only the most important initial features by talking to our potential users using online survey and strictly striking out unwanted features no matter how enticing they were. Our developer learnt how to really use the react framework to build a fully functional app.

What's next for Tryble

Tryble aims to be the future for tech career. We aim to be the home where companies can confidently scout, assess and recruit tech professionals who have showcased proficiency by building real world solutions, and also become a community for makers around the world to network and keep building awesome products.
