Inspiration
I have a huge respect on product based company called Zomato which is a food ordering company, Zomato has failed to put this experience in their app. As, I am ar/vr enthuasist I got an interest on this idea and I named it as try-berfore-eat.
What it does
Try-Before-Eat is an Web AR-Based product(for dine in restaurents), where a customer can see his dish before ordering in a restaurent, cafe etc...
How we built it
We bult this by mixing 2 technologies called Web technology and Augmented Reality(Marker Based) We used a sensor called lidar, which is inbuilt in iphones. where we have to scan a 360 degrees of it which gaves a .glb file of the realistic item which can be seen in that particular restaurent and then we are using it to experience that 3d model in the marker( after camera gets opened, we have to scan the restaurent's pamphlet or broucher to appear the food item)
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge we faced with the size of 3d models, for the small sized food like biryani, chapati gets less size .glb file where as for big sized food we got a big sized .glb file. We got very difficulty in arranging sizes to appear the model on the marker.

We are proud that we have built a product which was not built by zomato.
What we learned
We have learnt about how a lidar sensor works.
What's next for Try-Before-Eat
I have already made a demo product, taking a haveli restaurent as a reference which is in my district. I am now in search of premium restaurents, I was frequently consulting premium restaurents in hyderabad to gave my product for initial experience for their customers's . Once, they satsified I will make my product commercial.
