Inspiration 💡

In the aftermath of a crime or an emergency, legal authorities conduct interrogations of suspects and witnesses. These interrogations are usually long, arduous and conclusions drawn are biased. In order to solve this problem, I built TruthSeek, an AI-based assistant to help legal authorities in interrogations.

What it does 🔧

TruthSeek provides the following capabilities:

Summarize an interrogation transcript: 📜

Generate a concise, factual summary of an interrogation. Especially helpful in cases where many interrogations take place.
Answers based on transcript: 📞

Ask any questions regarding the transcript. TruthSeek searches the transcript for the relevant context, and generates an answer. Useful in very long interrogations, where the transcripts can get very long and searching for information is tough.
Composite sketch generation: ✏️

Generate a police composite sketch of suspects, using descriptions provided in the transcript. Eliminates the time-taking task of drawing images based on the witness' description of the suspect.
AI analysis: 📊

TruthSeek also performs AI based analysis, helping police interrogators by providing insights and unbiased, logic-based conclusions and other information, such as lie detection, sentiment analysis, etc.

This project was completely built using the amazing AWS PartyRock service!

Challenges I ran into: 🏆

Getting the GenAI models, to generate factual, unbiased responses to maintain accuracy was a challenge.

What I learned: 🎓

The power of GenAI can be applied to assist people in almost all areas of work and life.

What's next for TruthSeek AI: 🔜

I plan on adding a facility to give the interrogator more control over the responses. Also, I want to add features to change context depending on other witness testimonies.
