Inspiration

I think the world has a huge issue right now with a wide spread of false information and nobody is really doing much about it, meat even removed their fact checkers this year.

What it does

The app I build monitors your screen and fact checks everything.

How we built it

Basically the program takes a screenshot of your screen every 2 second and send it to gemini and gemini is trained to only look for news articles and then gemini has to use the google search tool to find more information about said article + 3 sources before gemini can determine the article is real or fake.

Challenges we ran into

I don't have a lot of experience with swift and I was doing a solo project so I had a lot of work load.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Im glad I was able to finish the project and my homework within this 24 hour period coming into the hackathon I thought defiantly One of the two wouldn't be completed.

What we learned

I learnt how much I miss working with a team lol

What's next for TruthLens

I like the project its very unique in my opinion I already am running a start-up but i might just keep working on it defiantly going to pick a better name, honestly I had a lot more ideas for it just ran out of time to implement all of them.
