🧠 Inspiration

Global freelancers and clients struggle with trust, delayed payments, and disputes. Traditional escrow systems are slow, expensive, and centralized. We wanted to fuse AI and blockchain to make trust autonomous — verifiable, fast, and borderless.

⚙️ What it does

TrustLens is an AI-powered escrow platform built on Aeternity that:

Locks client funds in a Sophia smart contract.

Uses an AI verifier to compare deliverables vs. project scope.

Automatically recommends fund release or dispute.

Enables cross-chain visibility and transparency for both sides.

🏗️ How we built it

Smart Contracts: Written in Sophia, deployed via AEproject on Aeternity testnet.

Frontend: Built in React + Tailwind, integrated with Superhero Wallet for seamless transactions.

AI Microservice: Node.js + OpenAI API to assess project completion and generate fairness recommendations.

Dev Environment: Entire workflow scaffolded using Cursor for rapid prototyping and deployment.

🚧 Challenges we ran into

Testnet ledger inconsistencies after UI updates.

Learning curve with Sophia contract deployment.

Managing asynchronous contract + AI call synchronization.

Time constraints in refining AI accuracy for diverse tasks.
