Inspiration

Trustify AI was born from a simple frustration: it’s getting harder to know what to trust online. Viral tweets, clickbait headlines, and AI-generated answers all sound confident, even when they’re wrong, outdated, or completely fabricated. Recent advances in AI have made it easier than ever to produce information, but the tools to verify that information haven’t kept up.

You.com’s focus on real-time, citation-rich search was the perfect match for this gap. I wanted to see if I could turn their APIs into a “BS detector” that anyone could use: paste a tweet, YouTube link, or article and get a clear, transparent trust score instead of guesswork.

What Trustify AI Does

Trustify AI lets you paste:

  • a tweet / X URL
  • a YouTube video URL
  • a blog or news article URL
  • or plain text

It then:

  • Extracts the main text content from that source.
  • Breaks it into key factual claims.
  • Uses You.com’s Search and Agent APIs to find live evidence for each claim.

Assigns a verdict to each claim:

  • Supported
  • Contradicted
  • Unverifiable

Aggregates these into a single Trustify Score (0–100) for the post and shows sentence-level highlights with citations.

The result is a page where you can see which parts of a post are backed by multiple sources, which parts conflict with newer information, and which parts are just vibes.
